ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
A leader who
listens first.
Yashica Marshall brings a background in law, biomedical science, healthcare leadership, compliance, and community advocacy to District 39.
THE WORK BEHIND THE WORK
Public service begins with a simple principle: listen first.
Her career has taken her across healthcare, science, law, compliance and organizational leadership—but one principle has remained constant: complicated problems require people willing to listen, learn and work together.
Yashica earned her Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
She has served in hospital and compliance director roles, is a published poet, and is a named co-author of published scientific research.

AT HOME
The people and pups who keep her grounded.
At home, Yashica is married to an attorney and shares the Marshall household with three Maltipoos: Cinna, Ziggy & Wonton.
It is a full house, and a good reminder that listening is a practice—one that happens at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
